Event Details

If you are seeking authorisation to become a Lay Presider, please seek the approval of your presbytery before registering for this course.

Understanding the Sacraments is a pathway that can lead to Presbytery authorisation as a Lay Presider, it is also an ideal opportunity for: a small group, faith community, bible study group, or congregation to spend time exploring the sacraments together.  This is a 4-day training course, delivered in two parts.

This four-day course is a pathway that can lead to Presbytery authorisation as a Lay Presider, and it is also an ideal opportunity for a small group, faith community, bible study group, or congregation to
spend a block of time exploring communion and baptism.

The course will enable lay people to engage with the theology and practice of the two sacraments, Baptism and Holy Communion, as celebrated by the Uniting Church in Australia.
