The Uniting Church of Australia (UCA) is one of the largest not for profit and faith-based organisations in Australia.
Uniting Mission and Education (UME), as one of four boards of the Synod of NSW and the ACT, has the role of leading and resourcing the Synod in discipleship, mission and leadership in order to serve Christ. UME also assists the Church to provide education, theological insight, strategy, research and resources for leadership, discipleship, ministry and mission. UME manages the operations of United Theological College (UTC), a partner in the Charles Sturt University, School of Theology.

About the Role
We are seeking a full time, online/digital Minister of the Word to work as part of a ministry team we call “Saltbush – Uniting the Scattered Community”. This small team will work primarily with our rural and remote congregations, but within the reality of our contemporary context shaping Uniting Christian communities for the future. A flexible ‘home base’ is a possibility however regular travel to regional/rural NSW, and the ACT is essential.
The Saltbush Team is comprised of the Director of Rural and Remote Ministry Initiatives, a Scattered Community Minister and this role of Online/Digital Scattered Community Minister. This position sits within UME, but is enabled and supported by a broad Church; Synod, Presbyteries, Congregations and individuals. Key to success in this work will be working collaboratively and encouragingly with colleagues and within this broad church in particular with Presbyteries and Congregations.
