Most of us have some personal connection with depression within our family, friends or work communities. For some of us is a lifetime challenge.
Uniting Church minister Geoffrey Lilburne (pictured) – theologian, poet and retired academic – has released a memoir exploring his own history of recurrent depression in the piercing light of questions about God in the midst. Beautifully written, it comes from a place of depth and honesty.
Joy Interrupted: A memoir of depression and prayer by Geoffrey Lilburne is recently published by Coventry Press.
