Fundamentals of Transitional Ministry: The Work of the Leader is a three-day program which gives participants an introduction to the key concepts and practices of ministering with congregations and agencies in times of transition.
The course has three key foundations:
– Understanding Transition
– Systems Theory
– Family Systems
These key foundations are introduced on Day 1 and then unpacked by reflecting on transitions that lead to new life and ministry practice. The course also teaches an array of tools for understanding one’s ministry context, and one’s place within it.
While it is a stand-alone program, it can also be the first phase of training that leads to being qualified as an Intentional Interim Minister.
FTML is useful for anyone in lay or ordained ministry, who are dealing with change, transition and new opportunities and also for those exploring a call to Intentional Interim Ministry.
Who should do this course?
– People in lay ministry
– People in ordained ministerial roles
– On a pathway to ministry
