At the recent meeting of the NSW.ACT Synod, Uniting Mission and Education reported on its work over the past 18 months. One large part of that work has been the planning for the Educational Resourcing Network, which will involve Synod employees such as UTC Faculty and UME Resourcing Team members, but will also focus on drawing on the many skilled ministry agents in Presbyteries and Congregations. This proposal was noted and affirmed by the Synod meeting, making clear the direction for UME in this educational part of its functions.
Many more details about the operation of the Educational Resourcing Network will be communicated over the next several months as details and processes are worked out. For the moment, if you are interested in some of the foundational thinking behind the Network, please feel free to download the proposal affirmed by the Synod.
